Chocolate chips, or chocolate cut into small and even pieces
Crushed pecans, walnuts, almonds, etc.
Toothpick to help dip the strawberries (optional)
Parchment paperÂ
Instructions
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Then, add a heatproof bowl on top and lower the heat to simmer.
While that’s boiling, pat down the strawberries so it’s completely dry. This will help the chocolate cling to it easier.
Add your chocolate chips and stir every so often until melted. Keep in mind that dark chocolate will melt smoother.
Dip your strawberries by holding the stem or using a toothpick and roll it until it’s covered. Then, lightly scrape it on the side of the bowl to get the excess chocolate off.Â
Immediately roll the strawberries in crushed nuts and place on parchment paper on a baking pan. When you’re done dipping the strawberries, place the pan into the freezer. Freeze until the chocolate is firm, usually about 15 minutes. Â
